The Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo dates back to 1873 and successfully recreates the atmosphere and splendour of a bygone era. The hotel is surrounded by luxurious parkland filled with olive and cypress trees, magnolias and bougainvillaea. The rooms and suites are stylishly decorated with Italian flair. Combining elegance and tranquillity, they evoke romance and the essence of Sicilian style. The Presidential Suite enjoys the added attraction of an expansive terrace with a summerhouse, a lounge, dining room and small hydro-massage swimming pool. You can choose to stay in the Timeo Building or, for added privacy, in Villa Flora, a delightful annex just 50 metres from the Timeo Building.
Enjoy the sun at the Literary Terrace with a perfect summer treat, a gelato from the bar. At lunchtime, feast on gorgeous brick-oven Sicilian pizzas under the shade of a cool pergola at the Pool Restaurant. Afterwards, you can refresh with a spa treatment with local flower and fruit essences, such as Neroli oil, to instil a sense of peace and wellbeing. Hop on the free shuttle bus to the private beach at the Timeo’s sister hotel, the Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea. In the summer you can even join a number of boat excursions from here which are complimentary. Each evening dinner at The Restaurant is a joy as many of the featured dishes are created using the best seasonal produce available.
