Spreading across 20,000sqm, in a restored 13th-century monastery, Botanical Sanctuary promises exceptional stay and experiences such as 4 Michelin-star restaurants, a state-of-the-art spa, a private gallery, and much more.
The ancient walls of the former monastery and hospital are located between the Lange Gasthuisstraat, Sint-Jorispoort, and Leopoldstraat, close to Stadspark. Antwerp airport is just 20 min away, and Brussels is 45 min from the hotel. Eindhoven (Netherlands) is just 1-hour drive from Botanical Sanctuary.
The 108 rooms and suites carved out of a 15th-century monastery are spread across five historic buildings. No two rooms are alike and each has been skilfully integrated into the fabric of the historic complex of monastic buildings. There are superior furnishings, equipment, and amenities like the wine cabinets in each suite. The unique Spa & Healthiness Suites and the Diamond Spa Suite have their own private spa spaces with a Finnish sauna, whirlpool, Technogym bike, treatment table, and separate shower. All are fitted with air filter and purification systems. Allergens such as fine dust, pollen, molds, and other environmental toxins are eliminated, as are more than 99% of all airborne viruses and bacteria. The technology also removes ozone from – and adds oxygen to – the air.
A destination in its own right, Botanic Sanctuary is the home of 5 restaurants, 3 of which have Michelin stars. Hertog Jan – 2 stars, Fine Fleur – 1 star, Het Gebaar – 1 star; 2 fine-dining restaurants: 1238 and Bar Bulot. With an area of 1,000sqm, the spa spans three floors, offering the following facilities: 18m panoramic swimming pool, conservatory with herbal relaxation gallery, panoramic Finnish sauna with guided herbal infusions, Kneipp walk, ice fountain, Himalayan salt stone sauna, infrared textile sauna, steam bath, foot reflexology basins, whirlpool, Botanical shower experiences, herb & vitamin bar, and the Botanic Health Bistro. Driven by a profound appreciation of science, Granada Gallery showcases nature’s creativity as well as human artistry, moving with ease between the worlds of natural history, art and design.
